Swing Ninja

Privacy & Cookie Policy

Privacy Policy

One of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us.

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors of Swing Ninja, accessible via swingninja.app. Swing Ninja shares its server and its accounts with Guess the Hex (guessthehex.com), whose own privacy policy covers that game. This policy is not applicable to any servers other than this website.

Consent

By using this website, you consent to the Privacy Policy outlined, and to its terms.

Information we collect

We restrict data collection to registered users. Players who don't log in keep their progress in their own browser's local storage; it isn't sent to us, and they don't appear on the leaderboard.

For registered users we keep their username and a one-way hash of their password (never the password itself), and their game progress: coins, suits owned and worn, best distance, best chain, total distance and games played. While a run is being played we keep the time it started, to check the distance it reaches. None of this is sensitive information.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect in order to:

Log Files

Our log files log visitors on Swing Ninja and all related links under swingninja.app. This website is hosted by Render (render.com), and these logs are part of the hosting service. Information collected by these log files includes the visiting user's internet protocol (IP) address, their Internet Service Provider (ISP), their browser type and the date and time stamp, none of which are linked to personally identifiable information. The intent behind logging this information is to track users' movements on the website, to analyze trends, to administer the site and to gather demographic information.

Cookies

Swing Ninja uses a 'cookie'. This cookie is designed to support registered users by maintaining an active account session whilst on the website, in order to keep them logged in to their account. The game also uses your browser's local storage to keep your progress and settings, such as sound and music, on your device.

Advertising Partners

Swing Ninja does not have advertising partners.

If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

Every user of Swing Ninja is entitled to the following, under conditions:

Please contact us if you would like to exercise any of these rights. We will try to respond to your request within 30 days.

Usage Disclaimer

Swing Ninja is a game of timing and skill. Distances reach the leaderboard only from runs our server has timed, but we still need to trust you to play truthfully. Cheating damages your enjoyment of the game as well as that of others who are trying to reach the leaderboard. If any suspicious ranking on the leaderboard is detected, it will be removed and that account may be suspended.

The registration process for this game is designed to be simple and fast and we would like to keep it this way. Therefore, do not spam registering new accounts, or we will need to change the authentication method.
